Kusadasi: Bodrum or Izmir airport. (60 mins from Izmir or 90 mins from Bodrum airport). Kusadasi is becoming a very popular resort with its harbour being its main attraction. Many tourist first visited Kusadasi when they were cruising and their ship docked to take them on a daytrip to nearby Ephesus. Kusadasi is a man made resort and has lost much of its old charm but that is true with every tourist destination in the world. On the plus side it doesn't attract the lager louts and there are plenty of shops selling gold, silver, precious gems, and Hereke carpets to keep the shop-a-holics happy. The beaches are pleasant but do fall away quickly so may not be ideal for young children.
